Projecting Naners

Finally got a projector hooked up… So now I can project my sketches onto canvas to easily transfer and enlarge for new paintings! This new banana bundle painting is around 36x42”. Yes this is my messy studio space.

NY Native Flower sketches - Trillium

Sketch to finished illustration for my wildflower series. I started this series inspired by a NY native wildflower, Trillium. It is my Mom’s favorite flower and very meaningful to me. I decided I wanted to make a whole series of native flower focused illustrations having enjoyed this new direction so much. I’ve only finished the Trillium drawing so far, but have several other native wildflower illustrations planned out (but got distracted by other ideas). Eventually I will come back to this idea. Below I have the sketch for Bloodroot and Bleeding Heart.

Banana Painting Timelapse

The very satisfying process of the painting process. Removing the tape mask from my Banana painting, 36x24” on canvas. This was my first try at painting in this style at a larger scale and on stretched canvas. I had so much fun making this and am looking forward to making more large paintings of my usual stacked figures.
